Purchasing Information

Buying from Meccano Spares is very simple and there are a number of payment options. Select the parts you want to purchase and add them to your shopping basket. Please note all prices include VAT at 20%. If you are purchasing outside the UK, the VAT amount will be removed at the checkout stage. You can amend the quantity of parts required, either in the part selection screen before placing the part into the basket, or after you have placed the part in the shopping basket. The parts will remain in your basket, even if you close your browser and decide to come back and complete your order later, but please note, the parts are not reserved until they are actually paid for. When you have completed your order, go to the checkout. Enter your address details and then choose your payment method. You will transferred to an external secure site (either Paypal or Sagepay) to process the payment. You will be returned to the Meccano Spares site when the payment process has been sucessfully completed. Please use a valid email address, so we can contact you in case of any query with your order and keep you updated on the order progress. Please ensure the checkout process fully completed and that you receive a confirmation email from Meccano Spares, otherwise your order may not have been accepted. You will receive a further confirmation email when the parts are shipped. Please check your 'spam' folder as confirmation email messages may end up in there if your spam filter is particularly agressive.

Credit or Debit Card Payment.

Payment is processed via the Sagepay website, there is no minimum order value and no surcharges. Select the 'Credit / Debit Card' option at the payment stage and you will be transferred to the Sagepay website to process the payment.  This usually requires 'Two Factor Authorisation', where you will also need to enter a 6 digit code sent to a mobile phone or received by email. When your card details have been successfully processed and payment completed, we'll send you the parts.

Paypal Payment.

Payment is accepted directly from your Paypal account or you can pay with a card, even if you don't have a Paypal account. Select the 'Paypal' option at the payment stage and you will be transferred to the secure Paypal login page, which will appear as a 'popup' page over the Meccano Spares website. Login to your Paypal account (or use the direct card payment method) and make the payment. When payment is completed, you will be automatically returned to the Meccano Spares website. Alternatively, you can send payments direct to edward@meccanospares.com if you need to.

Cheque Payment - For Orders Shipped to the UK Only.

Payment is accepted via cheque in GBP drawn from a UK bank, payable to 'Meccano Spares'. There is a £200 upper limit for cheque payments, and we reserve the right to wait for cheque clearance before shipping the parts to you. There are no surcharges for cheques, although you will have to wait until we receive the cheque (and the cheque has cleared in some cases) before your order is despatched.

Orders by Post or Telephone.
