More Spur Gears

Finally in this series on gears, here is a quick look at some of the other ratios you can achieve at 1" spacing using mostly non standard reproduction gears.

 

The left hand pair of gears mesh at 5:1. The upper pinion has 13 teeth (Part 26r), and the lower spur gear has 65 teeth (Part 27k).

The centre pair of gears mesh at 6:1. The upper pinion has 11 teeth (Part 26n), and the lower spur gear has 66 teeth (Part 27h)

The right hand pair of gears mesh at 10:1. The upper pinion has 7 teeth (Part 26z), and the lower spur gear has 70 teeth (Part 27t). The 7 tooth pinion has a standard axle at one end only, so it will need to be fitted into a 3 bore coupling or similar.
